About this work
Couples find their way to me in every phase. Dating and trying to work out if this is real, living together and snagging on the same fight, married and quietly drifting, or sitting with the question of whether to keep going at all. I work mostly with gay couples and with mixed-orientation couples, and a good number of the people in my room are expats figuring out a relationship and a new country at the same time.
I work in English and Spanish, online or in person in Eixample.
How I work
My training is systemic, which in plain terms means I treat the relationship itself as the client. I'm not there to decide which of you is right and which of you is the problem. What I watch for is the pattern, the move and the counter-move that keeps landing you both back in the same spot, and we work on interrupting it where it can actually be interrupted.
Like the rest of my practice, couples work runs in a frame of about ten sessions and then an honest reassessment, where we look at what's shifted and decide together whether to continue, change direction, or stop. I won't steer you toward staying together or splitting up. That decision is always yours.

Dr. Inclán originated the Sistémico-Ecológico model and is a recipient of the American Family Therapy Academy's innovation award. That training is rare in Barcelona's private market.
